My Gift of Time & Care is an informal publication of story cards and prompting questions encased in a fabric journal, inspired by the experiences of palliative care nurses where it translated their accounts of their professional role in the hospice and their personal lives beyond nursing.

 

Palliative care and the matters of death are topics that society is slowly opening up to have conversations about, hence the need for continued effort in normalising them to increase awareness and familiarity, both within the healthcare service and in larger society.

 

The work is underpinned by the hope of the nurses to leave a legacy for the next generation of nurses and to clear misconceptions of palliative care, supported by the aim to create an intimate opportunity of sharing and learning about palliative care and matters relating to death.
